Nelly Y. Pinkrah

Nelly Y. Pinkrah is a black and media studies scholar at TU Dresden, writer and organizer. She is invested in black and media studies, poetics and politics, and critical pedagogy, on which she speaks, writes and workshops. She completed her doctoral thesis on Édouard Glissant, language, histories of technology and cybernetics at Leuphana University Lüneburg. With her colleague Michelle Pfeifer, she runs the project «School of (Un)Thought», which is part of the international network ASchool. Nelly is part of the speakers circle of the Alliance for Critical Scholarship in Solidarity and is a member of the German Forum Antiracism Media Studies and the DFG Network “Gender, Media, Affect”, among others.
